WAYS TO STRENGTHEN INTERCULTURAL AND INTERFAITH HARMONY WERE DISCUSSED IN MOSCOW

       A roundtable discussion titled “Issues of Intercultural and Ethno-Confessional Communications” was held in the meeting hall of the Academic Council of RANEPA. The event brought together representatives of government institutions, the academic community, public organizations, and leaders of religious institutions.

       Opening remarks were delivered by Mikhail Gryaznov, Head of the Fund for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education, and Almaz Faizullin, Deputy Head of the Department for Cooperation with Religious Organizations of the Presidential Directorate for Domestic Policy.

       The main goal of the meeting was to discuss current challenges in the sphere of interethnic and interfaith relations, as well as to develop practical recommendations for countering extremism, strengthening civic identity, and ensuring information security.

       Vyacheslav Polosin, Deputy Director of the Fund, presented a report titled “Respect for Values as the Basis of Intercultural Communication.”

       Participants emphasized that strengthening societal harmony is based on preserving shared traditional spiritual and moral values and historical memory. They also highlighted the importance of systematic work in the fields of education and culture, with particular attention to engagement with young people.

       The event was organized by the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration in cooperation with the Fund for the Support of Islamic Culture, Science and Education.
