





The main purpose of the event was to develop mechanisms for further academic and educational cooperation. Representatives of both institutions met in the capital of the United Arab Emirates to discuss the development of international educational programs based on the principles of preserving and strengthening traditional values. These programs will help deepen the knowledge of religious leaders and lecturers of Islamic universities in the fields of humanities, theology, and the Arabic language.
Special attention was given to advanced professional training courses on information security. The program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of information protection, including:
— Legislative protection in the information space;
— Means and methods of information security;
— The distinction between information security and cybersecurity;
— Working with social media;
— Countering extremism on the Internet;
— Critical information analysis skills for identifying unreliable content.
The Russian delegation included:
Evgeny Yeremin — Head of the Department for Interaction withReligious Organizations of the PresidentialDirectorate for Domestic Policy of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Fund Council;
Mikhail Gryaznov — Director of the Fund;
Vyacheslav Polosin — Deputy Director of the Fund;
Alexey Petrov — Deputy Director of the Fund for Regional Project Coordination and Interaction with State Institutions;
Damir Khayretdinov — Deputy Director of the Fund for Interaction with Educational Institutions;
Ibragim Ibragimov — Vice-Rector of Pyatigorsk State University, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Coordination Center of Muslims of North Caucasus.
The university was represented by Saif Al-Tamimi, Head of the Student Affairs Department; Vice-Rectors Dr. Mohmmed Al-Azeezi and Dr. Karima Almazroui; and Deputy Chief of Staff Hamad Al-Obaidli.
During the meeting, the participants approved the creation of a joint working group whose key tasks will include defining scientific areas for research and joint educational projects. In addition, plans were announced for the publication of an academic journal featuring articles in three languages: Russian, Arabic, and English.
Participants emphasized the importance of establishing effective channels of academic cooperation and exchanging experience and knowledge between the two countries.
